Ms. Albertene White
The sun rose on the life of Ms. Albertene White on August 4, 1948 in Yazoo City, MS when she was born to James V. and Elizabeth Knight. The youngest of six children, she had three brothers and two sisters. Educated in the public school system, she attended Training School in Yazoo City, MS. and graduated from St. Francis Catholic High School in 1967.
On August 10, 1968, Albertene was united in holy matrimony to Walter L. White. To this union were born four children, Daphne, Shunna, Brian and Durwin. She was a devoted and loving mother. In later years her grandchildren, Brandon, LaCreshia, Jalel, Marjae, Jeremiah, Robert "Markel", Darnesha, Melik and Alonna and great grandchild, Nyla were a joy in her life. A woman of faith, Albertene accepted Christ at an early age becoming a member of Old King Solomon Baptist Church. She moved to Vancleave, MS, with her sister Pearl Scott in 1967. She later moved to Moss Point, MS. She worked as a nurse's aide and later became a first class welder for Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, MS.
Albertene moved to Colorado in 1998 to be close to her family. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She had the most generous loving heart and touched many lives with her presence. She uplifted many people with her kind words and loved giving gifts to those she loved. Her family and friends will always be thankful for her and she will truly be missed.
