Obituary for Ms. Rachel Lofton

Ms. Rachel Lofton
The sun rose on the life of Mrs. Rachel Elizabeth Lofton on February 24, 1977 in Denver, Colorado when she was born to Fragee F. Lofton and Jean Little. The youngest of four children, Rachel had two brothers, Mark and Sunny and one sister, Angie. A playful child, she loved to sing, dance and act. She always spoke fondly of her mother taking her to amusement parks and on cruises. She loved Busch Gardens and talked about riding on an elephant! Rachel had continued her earlier education at Concord College where she was just days away from her Medical Assistant Certification.

On February 26, 1999, Rachel was united in marriage with Kevin Morris at the Denver County Courthouse. To this union were born three children, Kamani, Kayla and Korahn. She was also the mother of Gina. A loving and devoted mother, her children remember, “We had a musical home, always laughing.

She would play hooky with us; calling everyone out of school to go to the museum or the movies. She was very protective. Our mother did the best she could with what she had. She taught us that being happy was the biggest responsibility to yourself. Also that being materialistic didn’t get you anywhere in life and even if you were the most beautiful woman / most handsome man, if your attitude was bad you were still ugly.”

A customer service / billing agent, she was employed with TMobile in the position of a billing agent. She was known for hard work, always cracking jokes and being the life of the office. In her free time, she enjoyed family, friends, and singing and dancing with her kids. Her best friends, Candi, Carrie Sue, Kiana and Trevor loved her goofy personality, high spirits and loving nature to almost everyone. Her favorite expressions were, “Don’t get drop kicked in your esophagus.” “Somebody better get that baby.” and “For my children, I will steal, kill and destroy.” Her laughter, love and kindness will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have shared her life. To know Rachel was to love her.

The sun set on the life of Mrs. Rachel Elizabeth Lofton on April 6, 2018 when she passed into eternal rest. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Kevin Morris of Aurora, CO; sons, Kamani Morris of DeSoto, TX and Korahn Morris of Aurora, CO; daughters, Gina D. Lofton and Kayla T. Morris, both of Aurora, CO; mother, Jean Lofton of Denver, CO; brother, Sunny (Sonyong) Lofton; sister, Angie M. Lofton, all of Folsom, CA; one grandchild to be; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Rest in peace...Rachel
