Obituary of Kempton Carlee' Harris
Please share a memory of Kempton to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose of the life of Mr. Kempton Carlee’ Harris on September 11, 1989 in Denver, Colorado when he was born to Emmett Harris and Claudette “CJ” Hawkins. Kempton was the youngest of three children and had one brother Steven and one sister Deja.
As a child, he was always playing with a football and loved animals. He would always wear his big brothers’ clothes to school as well as sneaking them out to wear for fun.
Educated in the public schools’ systems, Kempton attended Vaughn Elementary in Denver, Colorado, Sweetwater Middle School in Georgia and graduated from Cherokee Trails High School, class of 2008. After high school, Kempton met Shanae Williams and they became the proud parents to their baby girl London. His daughter remembers going to Walmart with her dad and him always buying her the things she loved. She genuinely enjoyed spending time with her dad.
Kempton received Christ as his personal savior at a young age. By profession, Kempton was employed as a builder for New Home Construction Company in Georgia. He was also an entrepreneur who had his own home renovation business. His co-workers will always remember him for being ahead of the game in building houses as well as a natural born leader.
In his free time, Kempton loved hanging out with his frat brothers of Omega Psi Phi and enjoying his daughter London. His best friend Brandon Howard will always cherish their friendship and being his confidante.
His favorite color was red, purple, and gold; his favorite flower was his daughter London and he enjoyed listening to Hip Hop and R&B music. Kempton had a big heart and his mother stated he was so forgiving. He had such a listening ear for anyone who needed it as well as a protector to his family. Kempton had such a zest for life and a smile that would light up an entire room. To know Kempton was to love him and he will be deeply missed.
The sun set on the life of Mr. Kempton Carlee’ Harris on June 25, 2021 in Norcross, Georgia when he passed from this life to eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his sister, Deja.
