I met Fred many years ago and always considered him a true friend that always had your back. Every time I would see Fred he had his signature smile.
Olivia may God be with you during this difficult time and know each time I would see Fred I would ask about you and his smile and eyes would get bigger showing his love for you.
Fred, you will be missed but never forgotten and thanks for being a good friend all these years!

The passing of Fred was a surprise, I knew he had been ill, but like all of us we prayed that he would pull through. I first met Fred when I was about 10 or 11 years old. He lived down the street from my grandmother. As a skinny girl with glasses, he was one of the few boys in the neighborhood that did not tease me. He was glad when he saw that I had my great grandsons in a golf program. Fred loved golf and was glad to see to young black boys on the golf course at an early age.
He will certainly be missed.

I knew Fred in 1960 when we attended Manual High School.
