Pierre is my cousin or as he used to say when we were growing up, I was his "sister" cousin. I became the sister he never had. As adults, we talked on the phone off and on over the years but never lived near each other. We talked about finally seeing each other again since we were now "old" people. When he called me and learned that I had lost my hearing (but could hear again because of a miraculous surgery)about 7 years ago, he said I better get there quick before we lose a bunch of other things. It hurt my heart that I didn't find out about his death for some time because even though we didn't communicate often, he was my heart and we still talked like the childhood "brother/sister" we always were whenever we talked with each other. Rest in peace my brother - I will carry you in my heart always.

I met Pierre for the first time in the summer of 1971. He was a friend of my husband, Cochise...I would see him off and on and then didn't see him again until the early 90's - he helped sponsor a program like "Scared Straight" that my son was in. then, I saw him for the last time in early 2011 - he came to visit me and I never saw him again. I was younger and didn't hang in his crowd but I knew him and cared about him as a person. He is in God's arms now and has no more worries...Love U Much, Pierre...
