Norman & Phyllis - I was so sorry to learn of Mrs Chapman's passing ... I had to break the news to my father of the transition of yet another of his contemporaries, this one from his beloved New Hope ... I smile when I recall my memories of your mother taking care of me in the New Hope Nursery seemingly eons ago ... on behalf of my father, our thoughts are with you - Bruce E Gipson on behalf of New Hope Deacon Emeritus Bernard F Gipson, Sr, MD

To the family of Deaconess Frances Chapman. I express my heartfelt sympathy. She was my mentor, who guided me to be a good counselor for the children of New Hope Baptist Church, she showed me how to be a spiritual leader and how to be a good friend. Every time I listen to the song by Tremaine Hawkins, "I Never Lost My Praise." My thoughts will always go to Ms. Chapman and her family.

Mrs. Chapman was the type of person who loved children. When we were expecting our first born, she approached us and asked if she could care for our daughter, Erica, while we participated in the church choir. That was 39 years ago and as former members of New Hope Baptist Church Chancel Choir, we still remember her caring thoughts to help a young family maintain their involvement in church work. Also, there is an historical photo of Mrs. Chapman taken by one of the local newspapers' photographer holding Erica on her lap in the audience observing a Martin Luther King holiday. Love always to the Chapman family. We will truly miss her our adopted mother.
