Persilla started working at DH in 2006 and she used to sit next to me. Everyday she would say, "Girl I know you from somewhere" and we got to talking about all the places we used to party and nothing matched. Then she asked me my maiden name and then asked if my father's name was George and I said yes and she then proceeded to describe me when I was 9 years old and coming to visit my father at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center on Ward 3 and how she was the LPN who used to care for him and she remembered me and my mother visiting him everyday. We laughed and cried as it comforted me knowing that she was there watching over him while I was at home and school and that helped me with my grief over his passing in 1981. I will always love her for her kindness, words of wisdom and just welcoming me into her life as a friend. I will miss you so much Miss P and my heart will always have a space for you and the love you shared so generously. Thank you for coming into my life at a time I didn't even realize I needed you. My prayers are with your family at this time and I hope you look in on me from time to time just to make sure I'm staying on that path to see you and my father. Love you, Lisa
