The sun rose on the life of Mr. Deonta Ezell Lamont McDonald on June 27, 1997 when he was born to DeMarques A. Johnson and Alice Lee Perez. He was the eldest child with five brothers, Elijah, Seneca, Gormar, Rashad and DeMarques, Jr. and seven sisters, Aunjsiana, Yamoni, Yasiah, Jasmine, SkyJane, Rayonna and Nevaeh. A happy child, he was very mature and always ready to lead. When he was three, he had a crazy cousin and auntie that he used to hide under the table with. Educated in the public school system, Deonta was expected to be enrolled in the spring in a program called 4Aspects that specialized in gang prevention and character building. He had just been accepted into the mentor program at his school. Deonta had recently become a member of ShmaYisrael 2009. When he was younger, he attended Gateway Christian Center where he was brought up. In his free time, Deonta enjoyed skateboarding, riding bikes, hanging with his siblings, intellectual discussions, art, poetry and liked to draw. His best friends were Tomas, his sister, Aunjsiana and his brother, Elijah. Everyone loved his kindness, big heart, beautiful smile, and sense of humor. "He was a great role model. He had goals that were uncommon for young people. He was a growing leader in his community and a positive influence for his family. He had a very optimistic outlook on life. He was always looking out for his brothers and sisters. Deonta was a wonderful young man who was highly respected. He had a passion for life and a deep caring for others." To know Deonta was to love him and he will be greatly missed. The sun set on the life of Mr. Deonta Ezell Lamont McDonald on October 12, 2016 when the Lord called him home to eternal rest.
