Please share a memory of Ronald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Mr. Ronald TyRone Bell on December 6, 1962 in East Chicago, Indiana when he was born to William and Annie Ruth Bell. The second of eight children, he had four brothers, William, Michael, Kevin and John and three sisters, Tammy, Carol and LaToya. An active child, he knew at an early age how to keep the family together. "He loved to skate and hang out with his family. All the brothers worked at Screaming Wheels in Gary. A favorite childhood memory was of having only one telephone and one TV. "We all sat down together and watched TV." Educated in the public school system, Ronald attended Roosevelt High School from 1977 - 1981. He studied auto mechanics and commercial painting. In 1983, Ronald was united in marriage with Patricia Morris in Gary, Indiana. To this union was born one beautiful baby girl, LeSha Rae. The marriage was dissolved in the fall of 1984. On August 21, 985, Ronald was united in marriage with Cynthia McKinzie in Gary. She remembers, ""We spent the whole night figuring out what we were going to do for the rest of our lives." To this union were born two beautiful daughters, Ronnica and Nevaeh. Ronald was a loving and devoted husband and father. He taught the girls about life because it is hard. He also taught them how to ride bikes and how to drive. In later years, his grandchildren, Patricia, Natassia, Zenobia, Jaeshuan, Jaylon, Londyn, Tyjaia and Aniya'le were a special source of joy in his life. They remember "Pops" eating Skittles with them. He loved them dearly. Ronald was employed with Calco in the position of an industrial painter. His supervisors and co-workers all said they enjoyed working with him. "He was a hard worker and he loved playing jokes." In his free time, Ronald enjoyed family, friends, listening to music (oldies), family night and playing cards. His best friend was Minton Allen who will always remember Pedro. His favorite expression was, "Don't do what I do, do what I say." His love sense of humor and caring for his family will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have shared a part of this kind, happy man's life. To know Ronald was to love him. The sun set on the life of Mr. Ronald T. Bell on October 27, 2016 when he passed into eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his father, brother, John and sister, Carol.
