Obituary of Kevin Anthony Bush
Please share a memory of Kevin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Mr. Kevin Anthony Bush on April 15, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri when he was born to Curtis Bush, Sr. and Lamay Marie Bush. The ninth of sixteen children, Kevin grew up surrounded by siblings, Laverne, Sonya, Karen, Curtis, Rodney, Keith, Jocelyn, Mark, Aleczina, Victoria, Howard, Jacinta, Christopher, Paul and Yolanda. An independent soul, Kevin always "did whatever Kevin wanted to do." Educated in the public school system, Kevin finished the eleventh grade at Beaumont High School. In 1979 Kevin left St. Louis with his brother, Mark. They moved to Denver Colorado. Shortly after, his sister Aleczina "Zinie" moved out to Denver to be with him. Kevin spent the rest of his life in Denver. While in Denver he met Grace Mallory and they were connected ever since. Kevin was the father of beautiful twin girls, Johanna and Frances. He was also blessed with 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. They knew him as "Grand Dad". In his free time, Kevin enjoyed family, friends and gambling at Blackhawk. "He was such a joy to be around, he had his own language, calling others Pug although he knew their name, and there were so many more phrases he would say that will be remembered and missed. He also enjoyed spending time alone doing whatever it was he wanted to do. He was known for living life by his own rules. Mr. Bush's idea of life was that it is what he wanted to do." His favorite color was black and he most enjoyed music by the Isley Brothers and Tupac. There is no doubt that Kevin will be missed by many. May we find comfort in knowing that his fight was done and he was ready to move on. As he would end all his phone conversations "I'm Out". The sun set on the life of Mr. Kevin Anthony Bush on December 7, 2016 when he passed into eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Laverne (Willie) Marbley, Brian Bush and Paul Bush. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Frances Rabb and Johanna Kern, both of St. Louis, MO; siblings, Sonya Jones, Karen (James) McKelphin, Curtis (Dorothy) Bush, Jr., Rodney (Janea) Bush, Keith (Lanonette) Bush, all of St. Louis, MO, Jocelyn Wrighting of Garland, TX, Mark (Constance) Bush of Kansas City, MO, Aleczina (Terry) Zackery of Denver, CO, Victoria Bush, Howard Bush, Christopher (Brenda) Bush, Yolanda (Bobby) Bennifield, all of St. Louis, MO, and Jacinta Bush of Houston, TX; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rest in peace...Kevin
