The sun rose on the life of Mrs. Corrine Whitehead on September 17, 1936 in Hemphill, Texas when she was born Corrine Hoyle, the oldest child of Bede L. and Elvine Hoyle. Corrine had three sisters, Zola, Eloise and Etorce. A happy child, she loved playing with her sisters. Educated in the public school system, she graduated from Charlton-Pollard High School in Beaumont, TX. On February 4, 1960 Corrine was united in marriage with Donald G. Whitehead in Beaumont. To this union was born one beautiful daughter, Beedie. She was a loving and devoted mother. A nurse by profession, Corrine was employed with Rose Medical Center. She was known for dedication and dependability. Everyone enjoyed working with her. She was a member of the Colorado Nursing Association. In her free time, Corrine enjoyed family, friends, sewing, cooking and knitting. Corrine's beautiful smile was one of her friends favorite things about her. She loved roses and she most enjoyed listening to soul music. To know Corrine was to love her and she will be greatly missed. The sun set on the life of Mrs. Corrine Whitehead on January 23, 2017 when she passed into eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Etorce. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Beedie L. Bailey; sisters, Zola Hill and Eloise H. (Bobby) Robinson; nieces, Val, Ani and Tonya Hill; nephews, Gaylord Paul, Bobby Robinson, Jr., Victor Steele and Bobby Robinson, III; and a host of cousins, other rela-tives and friends.
