Obituary of David Dwright Payne

The sun rose on the life of Mr. David Dwright Payne on February 24, 1983 in Houston, Texas when he was born to Leon Payne and Margaret Payne. The youngest of five children, David had two brothers, Anthony and Leon, Jr. and two sisters, Sherrita and LaDonna. As a child, he was always happy. He loved playing with his friends and playing video games. Educated in the public school system, David attended Highlands Heights Elementary School and Hoffman Middle School, both in Houston. David was the loving father of two beautiful children, LaDavioshe and David, Jr. He was devoted to the two and most enjoyed spending time with them as often as possible. A man of faith, David was a member of Heritage Christian Center for the last two years. He was employed in general labor and was known for being a hard worker. His favorite color was red. He preferred listening to rap music. David's most lasting impact on everyone was his concern for others. "He was a people person. He always was a person to keep in touch to make sure everyone was okay." His love, caring and beautiful smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved David. To know him was to love him. The sun set on the life of Mr. David Dwright Payne on June 23, 2017 when he passed into eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his father and one brother. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Margaret Payne; son, David Payne, Jr., both of Aurora, CO; daughter, LaDavioshe Payne of Denver, CO; brother, Anthony Payne of Houston, TX; sisters, Sherrita (Ivory Joe) Lovelace and LaDonna Payne, both of Aurora, CO; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
