Obituary of Bobby Alec Moton
Please share a memory of Bobby to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Mr. Bobby Alec Moton, Jr. on December 26, 1960 in Grand Forks, North Dakota when he was born to Bobby A. Moton, Sr. and Barbara A. Simmon. The youngest of six children, Bobby had two brothers, David and Stephen and three sisters, Valerie, Tonia and Paula. A happy child, he was always imaginative, funny and playing in trees or playing kickball. Educated in the public school system, Bobby graduated from South High School in Denver, Colorado. He continued his education at Colorado Institute of Art where he earned an Associate Degree.
A man of faith, Bobby was a member of Scott United Methodist Church in Denver. Bobby was a professional artist employed with Walmart in the position of a department manager. He was known for dependability and being enjoyable to work with. In his free time, Bobby enjoyed family, friends, drawing and listening to music. His favorite recording artist was Diana Ross. He was loving, protective of his family, a great listener and was extremely witty with a dry sense of humor. "He will be missed as he was the backbone of the family, always willing to have an honest conversation."
The sun set on the life of Mr. Bobby Alec Moton, Jr. on November 7, 2017 when the Lord called him home to eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Valerie. Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Stevie (Michelle) Moton of Marion, IN and David (Barbara) Moton of Columbia, SC; sisters, Paula R. Moton of Aurora, CO and Tonia (Clifford) Norman of Aurora, CO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Rest in peace...Bobby
