The sun rose on the life of Mr. Martell Teress Jackson on May 18, 1988 in Denver, Colorado when he was born to Reginald Jackson, Sr. and Angie Watkins. The youngest of three children, he had one brother, Reginald, Jr. and one sister, Kim. A quiet child, he loved playing basketball. He also enjoyed playing video games, drawing and playing with action figures with his nephew. Educated in the public school system, Martell graduated from Brighton High School, Class of 2007. He continued his education at Garden City Community College on a scholarship.
An excellent student and athlete, Martell was awarded a scholarship and studied at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Martell was a coach by profession. He was last employed with Thornton High School in the position of Girl's Basketball Coach. Additionally, he was the Assistant Basketball Coach for the boy's basketball program at Brighton High School. Martell loved coaching and all the students loved him. In his free time, Martell enjoyed sharing quality time with family and friends, even though he wasn't the talker of the group.
