Obituary of Victoria McGaughy

The sun rose on the life of Ms. Victoria McGaughy on January 12, 1958 in Denver, Colorado when she was born to John McGaughy and Gladys Martin. The second of seven children, she had one brother, John and four sisters, Rennell, Ruthie, Dianna and Patricia "Trish". They remember she was "the big sister. She loved to take us shopping. When she ran the pool hall, she was a pool shark and always betting in the football pools." Educated in the public school system, she graduated from Manual High School in Denver. She continued her education at Community College of Denver where she studied Business Management. By profession a bank manager, she held the position of Manager at Colorado National Bank for over fifteen years. She was known for dedication and hard work. In her free time, Victoria enjoyed family, friends, playing pool, listening to music (favorite was "Keep Your Head Up" by Tupac), cooking, watching sports and playing the pools. Her best friend, Vickie, loved her honesty, laughter and being the life of the party. Her sister remembers, "Victoria would always tell us her clavicle was hurting which is a medical term for shoulder. If it wouldn't have been for her, I wouldn't have graduated from medical school." Her favorite color was red and she loved lilies. She loved her family dearly and always wished for them to be closer. The sun set on the life of Ms. Victoria McGaughy on March 3, 2018 when she passed into eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, John McGaughy, Jr. and sister, Debbie McGaughy. Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Rennell McGaughy, Ruthie Davis, Dianna Davis, all of Denver, CO and Patricia "Trish" Williams of Aurora, CO and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
