Here is the story I wrote about Ms. Lillie under the "Memories" page. Because I was unable to find the link, and because she became a dear friend, I'd like to post it on this page: Ms. Lillie was a warm and inviting soul. I met her in June 2016 when I was in the Bible education work in her area. If you met her once, she’d let you know that you were welcomed to be in her life. She always welcomed you with a big smile. And so I came with a smile, anticpating our visit, and left with a bigger smile. She was a spiritual person who had developed the habit of daily Bible reading from a young age. She loved hearing the Bible read to her too. She met several of my friends from the Kingdom Hall. They would ask about her if it had been awhile since I'd taken them by to see her. And if I missed a week, she'd say: "I've been looking for you! Where have you been?" We'd visit for awhile to catch up and then we'd enjoy a Bible discussion, and often watch a short video on various Bible topics. One of her favorite videos was: "The Ransom". When her friends stopped by, she'd invite them to sit in on our discussions and she'd be so pleased when they would. Ms. Lillie was known and cared about by her neighbors. She asked me if we had talked with them about the Bible too. She was happy when we told her that we had. Many times she had Bible questions. Questions about why people treat each other so unkindly? (thinking about the violence and the wars), "Where did all the races come from?", were just a few I remember. As her health declined, I saw less of Ms. Lillie. My last visit with her, was the last day of her life. She was less responsive, but when I asked her if we could pray, she reached for my hand. It is a comforting memory. She loved God and the Bible. She was truly a spiritual lady to the last. The video I'll attached is a tribute to her and what life will be like when we meet again. It reminds me of a time in the future that the prophet Isaiah spoke about when he said: "No resident will say: "I am sick." The people dwelling in the land will be pardoned for their error". (Isaiah 33:24) I have many fond memories of the time I spent with Ms. Lillie. My condolences go out to all her family and friends. Thank you for the beautiful picture of her that you have shared.

Lillie set such a good example in being kind and hospitable to others. A highlight of my week was getting to be a recipient of that kindness when me and some friends would visit with her and read scriptures about our hope for the future. She was always glad to see us and made us feel welcome. I look forward to seeing her again in the resurrection where she will continue to teach others what kindness looks like by her example.

I met Ms Lillie last year and found her to be delightful. She was a beautiful lady and a kind gentle person. She had a strong belief in god and got to know him by his personal name Jehovah. She will arise in the resurrection as Jesus Christ promised at John 5:28-29. Until then my condolences to her family.Sincerely, Janice

My sincerest condolences go out to all the family of Ms. Lillie. I had just recently met this sweet lady. I am reassured by the scriptures that by Gods power we will see her again. John 5:28,29. May you also find comfort in the promises in the scriptures 2 Cor 1:3,4 so you can comfort others.

I am glad I had the privilege of meeting Lily. She had a love for the Bible, and recognized it's importantance, which i appreciated. I would like the family and friends of Lily to know how sorry I am. It's comforting to know that one day, the scripture at Proverbs 2:21 will be fulfilled.

I was privileged to visit Ms. Lillie several times with my friend Marian. It was so clear in those few times how much she believed in the Bible and its hope for the future. She was a very dear person and I look forward to enjoying time together again when she is young again and Psalms 37 verse 11 & 29 is fulfilled. I hope these scriptures will bring you comfort as they have me.

I wrote a story about the time I've spent with Lille under "Memories". And I also wanted to share a link to one of her favorite videos called: "The Ransom". It gives the beautiful hope we have of seeing our dear family and friends when Jesus will bless them with life the way it was intended to be.

It saddened our hearts to hear about the loss of Ms. Lillie. May you find comfort in reflecting on the many memories that you have made with Ms. Lillie. Comfort can be found in reading scriptures that Ms. Lillie enjoyed reading, like this one found at Revelation 21:4. Ms. Lillie enjoyed reading and studying the Bible and finding out more about the future. (Psalm 37:10,11 & 29).Please know that you are you our thoughts and prayers.
