Alonzo, my beloved cousin we have shared great experiences together. You touched many people far and wide. One story I would like to share is upon returning from my wedding, my husband and I had an overnight layover in Miami. We went to a small, non-descript bar near our hotel and started talking with a few random patrons. Somehow, the topic of Kansas came up, then Topeka then Alonzo's name came up! This young man
we just randomly met in Miami shared many funny stories of his encounters with Alonzo. We talked for hours. I called Alonzo to share the story about the young man in Miami whose first question when he learned I was from Topeka, was "Oh Really, do you know Alonzo Plakio?" A testament to how many lives Alonzo touched, and how he was loved and respected! Alonzo, you will be missed. Love always, Denise, Melvin and Chelsey from Chicago
