Obituary of La'Zic Lavell Abraham

Please share a memory of La'Zic to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of La'Zic Lavell Abraham, affectionately called “Zay” on March 5, 2004 when he was born to proud parents Rodney Abraham and Tuwanna O'Neal. Zay had one brother Torrance and three sisters La'Zia, Tkeyah and Rhanisha. As a child, he was an avid reader, very intelligent, happy, playful, loving, caring, quiet, protective, loyal, sarcastic and photogenic. A few childhood memories of Zay is when he wouldn't eat anything without his special sauce or when he would drive his Power Wheel around the neighborhood with his granny “I'm not going to walk, I'm going to drive granny” he would often say; going to Charley's for a Philly steak for the first time and asking “What is this, goat meat?” and him always trying to gain weight, but being very picky on what he ate. Educated in the public school system, Zay attended DSISD and William H. Taft High School. He learned to read in kindergarten, was on the honor roll majority of grade school and received the Young Eagle certificate from the Crowley Foundation. Zay had dreams and hope of becoming an Architect or a Pilot one day in life. In his free time, he enjoyed playing video and board games, listening to music, reading books, cross country, track, basketball, soccer, working out and boxing. His best friends Savanna Montes and Deneen Smith will always remember him as very protective and caring. He was a great friend and very funny. He could accomplish, fix and figure out anything. Zay was resourceful, result oriented and a problem solver. He was also very honest and love to play fight. His favorite color was red, he loved roses, rap music, pop snacks, peach flavor and Harry Potter books. Words that come to mind when you think of him would be “cap/no cap”, “sure”, “I don't care” and “I love you to the moon and back” to his granny. Zay was compassionate and a mentor to his siblings and cousins, but always making sure everyone around him was OK. To know him was to love him, and he will be deeply missed. The sun set on the life of La'Zic Lavell Abraham “Zay” on January 26, 2021 in Aurora, Colorado when he passed into eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ebbie Gooden, Betty Dinwiddie and Lonnie Gooden and brother Torrance Riley. Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Tuwanna (Kendrick) Mitchell and Rodney (Devi) Abraham both of Denver, CO; sisters, Tkeyah Abraham, Rhanisha Abraham and La'Zia O'Neal all of Denver, CO; grandmothers, Mary (Alan) Kennedy of Denver, CO and Carrie Abraham of Mansfield, LA; great grandmother, Mamie Franklin of Denver, CO; two nephews, Matteo Fox and Michael Byrd both of Denver, CO and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Rest In Peace....Zay
