I worked with David for a short period at the Clerk and Recorders Office. He was such a respectable person who loved God and adored his family. Praying that God strengthens and comfort you during this time and in the days ahead.

Portia and family. Your depth of grief and mourning are quite deep. I pray that God will give you everything necessary and needed for the balance of your days. David was one of the most incredible, respected and loving men I ever had the pleasure of knowing. His love and devotion to God was remarkable and it has earned his place in heaven with no doubt. Love and prayers Lucinda Downing

Portia and family, David was one of the most gracious men I've ever known. When I think of him I just want him to come back and be the next pastor as he had hoped and planned to be. But I know even if he could come back, he wouldn't. He's in glory. What more can I say?

Portia I know this has been a tough season for you. But you have alot of prayer going up for you and your family. I will miss David and this still has not settled with me. I find comfort knowing that David loved the Lord with his whole heart and I can still see him dancing and praising the Lord. If he could tell us he would let us know that all the pain and suffering that he indured was worth it all once he got to the other side. I will miss him and I will continue praying for you. Love you much!

"Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life." Revelation 2:10
Elder Johnson was an honorable man and justly served the congregation of Morgan Memorial Memorial Chapel Church of God in Christ.
Elder Johnson's "due diligence" service, and commitment was beyond measure and he will leave an indelible "footprint" in our hearts and souls.
I will not be able to attend the service, however, my love, prayers and thoughts are with the family.
I will greatly miss you my son.
Your Pastor,
Elder Justus B. Morgan

Godaddy,
Thank you for being such a great example of a man! Thank you for the love and care you gave to many and for allowing the Lord to use you in a tremendous way. I know that God is well pleased with you. I pray that you are at peace and resting in God's loving arms. I pray that the family will continue to find peace and refuge in Christ, knowing He is able to comfort their heart and heal the brokenness. God knows the pain that they feel and He can take the pain away. I am going to miss you! I will your fire sermons you delivered on Sunday, your love and care for those around you, the quiet and kind nature, and the desire to be a great example to your family, friends, and those you encountered on your journey. It will be hard to say bye, until we meet again but I know that God loves you and you are finally at rest and free from suffering!
I will continue to pray for God momma and the family as they continue to grieve with your loss! Love always, Morgan

David I have known you since I was a teen and you have always been the kind, gentle, soft spoken person except when you preached. I called you big brother because you have always treated me like a little sister. I am going to miss you and the love you have always shown. My condolences to you Portia and the family. I love you all and I am praying for you.

I love you Aunt Portia and my baby cousins so much.
I could talk to My Uncle David about anything in this world, good or bad. It didn't matter. I'll miss our talks so much. I love you Uncle David

David was a man who loved God his family and his church. He will be missed here but welcomed in glory. He's probably in heaven trying to start a bowling team. Love and prayers to the family.
