Obituary of Demitrius Alexander Dearry

The sun rose on the life of Mr. Demitrius Alexander Dearry on June 10, 1986, in Denver, Colorado when he was born to John Thomas Dearry and Dorothy Marie Dearry. The fourth out of four children, Demitrius had two brothers John and Nicholas, and one sister Anika. As a child, Demitrius was always eating and quite chubby where he earned the nickname “Porky” by his aunt Jeanine. Educated in the public school’s system, Demitrius graduated from Gateway High School in Aurora, Colorado. By profession, he worked in the customer service field and was last employed at 7-Eleven where he was a store clerk for the past five years. His co-workers remember him being dedicated, working holidays as well as volunteering for shifts when his colleagues felt safety concerns. In his free time, Demitrius enjoyed playing dominoes, listening to music, the Dallas Cowboys and sipping on his drink (Vodka). His best friends were Mike Tabarez and Matt Bates who were more like brothers. They will always remember him for his bright smile, passionate, loving, and loyal personality, but most of all just being “Demet”. We will miss those phrases he would often say like, “Great One”, What’s Good Johnny”, and “Demet Da Cheese”. His favorite color was black, he loved Mary Jane weed flowers as well as Rap/Hip Hop music with artists such as Dipset, Lil Wayne and E-40. Demitrius’ extreme loyalty and love for his family and friends will never be forgotten. He absolutely loved all the kids, and all the kids absolutely loved him whom they called “Demet”. This loving, caring, supportive, and positive man will be missed. To know Demitrius was to love him. The sun set on the life of Mr. Demitrius Alexander Dearry on June 12, 2021, in Blackhawk, Colorado when he passed from this life to eternal rest. Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Nicholas Dearry and John A. (Carla) Dearry both of Aurora, CO; sister, Anika (Troy, Sr.) Ashfeld of Aurora, CO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Rest In Peace…Demitrius
