I'm here watching virtually as my family speaks about my Uncle Elbert who has always had a special place in my heart. I think back several years ago we were all in Dallas Texas and uncle was feeling down and he decided to spend his time alone in the hotel and Cherelle and I decided to spend the evening with him and I could see he was feeling down and we talked and laughed stories of our childhood. He finally, said why he was feeling down, he went on to say, I was watching my sister and brother-in-law with all their children and grandchilden. He said, a family that prays together; stays together, if only I could do it over. Elbert Jr, Teresa, Cherelle and Paul I pray that God brings you all comfort and strength, and always know that I'm here for you all. I love you Uncle Elbert, you will always be in my heart.
Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

To my family and Elbert friends I send my Love Condolences and Prayers. I send special love to Charity, Elbert Jr, Teresa, Cherelle and Paul. Just know the pain is great, the memories are greater and Jesus is the Greatest and He will never leave nor forsake you.
My memory of uncle Elbert he was a kind man with a big heart. I remember uncle Elbert helped his oldest sister Ada drive from Texas to Florida, driving over 1200 miles. That was the sacrifice and love he showed for his sister. Back in 2001 he traveled to Las Vegas to be with family for my 40th birthday and we had a great time.
The picture represents all his siblings and wife whom loved him dearly.
Your niece and nephew, Steven and Debra Davis

Uncle Elbert, bright eyed, tall and handsome. A family man from the beginning until the end. I still remember Uncle and the family living with us in the Pink house when I was around 5 or 6 years old. We were called eight is enough. All of us kids running around having a blast! We had just moved to the lovely State of Colorado. Uncle Elbert and my Mother Anna Lee were tightly coupled. Those two use to love to dance together! Uncle Elbert was Mom's heart. In addition, Uncle Elbert and my Dad, Billy Ray were even closer. My Dad and Uncle were more like real Brothers. They have been together since they were 18 years old. All of my Baldwin Uncles consider Uncle Elbert a Baldwin. The day we found out that Uncle passed every one of my Baldwin Uncles called my Dad in grief and said Bill, Elbert was like a Brother to all of us. Do you need me to come over and sit with you. They knew my Dad was in deep, deep pain.
We have so many memories growing up. We would be at the City Park every weekend and if not there we would be out fishing at the lake. These are events and activities that kids never forget. Uncle always had a big smile showing his pretty white teeth. He lived a joyful life. He loved his wife and kids from his soul and more. As a kid I looked forward to seeing my Uncle come in the house as he screamed AnnLee and Billy with that deep voice walking in with a big grin on his face. Uncle was and is LOVE. His kids are crazy about him and we all will miss him.
I love you Uncle Elbert and may you rest in peace. Niece, Kiska Baldwin
