John was a great friend and co-worker. I had the privilege of sitting next to him at work everyday for 4 years. I could always count on John to make me laugh, and I enjoyed coming to work to see my friend. I can confidently say that he always looked out for my best interest. He was also a mentor to me by giving me good counsel and sharing his life experiences. I value our friendship and the memories we made outside of work. He will truly be missed and I’ll always remember him

The girls are broken John. In no world should they have to grow up without their dad, but now they will. I’m mad that you didn’t take care of yourself, if not for you then for Zoe and Sophie. They love you so much. You don’t have to ever worry about them. They are and have always been my world and I will do anything and everything to make sure that in some way they find happiness after all of this. We will miss you dearly, the three of us.
Look down on these girls and protect them as best you can, the world is scary enough let alone navigating it without their dad.

John, so much to say and yet at this time...We spent Y2K with my sister laughing, playing games, and waiting for the world to end. I enjoyed debating you at family barbecues. I remain in awe of your two daughters Zoe and Sophie. They are light, they are love. They have always been filled with goodness and joy no matter what was happening around them. They will continue to shine brightly and I am honored to witness who they are becoming. Our family will continue to love them fiercely and protect that goodness and help them reach their highest potential.

On October 22nd you transitioned to a better place. I recently lost my father and while still reeling from that we’ve now lost you, I’m devastated. I’m going to miss our high spirited discussions, your loyalty for all things Philly, your love of hot wings and wack ass beer, and your extensive collection of Jordans. You were the big brother I needed and running mate from the first day we met. I want you to know that I love you fam and you will be greatly missed. Rest in peace J Hubb, until we meet again.

John, Will and Lamont… was always the circle that I have never laughed so much with over the 20+ years I’ve known them. The nights out having drinks and talking about all things music will never be forgotten. John, you’re up there now with Lamont, so you too continue to laugh forever. In the 6 years that we knew John, he grew to be one of Thomas's favorite people, and any time spent with him was a good time- guaranteed. Thomas got to know him as an employee and more importantly, as a close friend. He was goofy and loud and FUN, so loving and charismatic. We loved how passionate about Philly he was, and he was always a great energy to be around. I know we'll miss hearing his laughter and his warm voice, but we count ourselves very lucky to have gotten to know him at all. We will miss him so much. Rest easy John. We love you.
