Obituary of Charles Henry Greene, III
Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Charles Henry Greene, III on September 29, 1959, in Ft. Worth, Texas when he was born to Charles Henry Greene, Jr. and Jimmie Lee Greene. The first out of three children born to this union, Charles had one brother, Kenneth, and one sister Ingrid Darlene. As a child, he was always brave and adventurous. He was also a football star and loved driving for snacks with his grandfather.
Educated in the public school system, Charles graduated from George Washington High School in 1977. He continued with his education at Colorado Community College of Denver where he earned his associate degree.
Charles and Sherlyn Outler shared his first daughter Taylor Greene. He later met his wife Bernadette Martinez at Denver International Airport and on September 17, 1997, they were united in marriage in Aurora, Colorado. The marriage consisted of Charles being the best dad and husband. He enjoyed bringing his family together through his food and showing them his love for cooking.
He was the loving and devoted father to DeVanie, Charlie and Gabrielle. The children remember how every Valentines Day their dad would make heart lobster dinners for them. He would prepare the lobster and cut them into heart shapes to celebrate with his girls. He was also blessed with two beautiful grandchildren, Danye who called him “Pompo” and Kamarion.
Charles received Christ as his personal savior at a young age and truly loved the lord.
By profession, he was a shipping and receiving clerk who was employed with Childrens Hospital for ten and a half years. Charles had also previously worked for Continental Airlines. His coworkers remember him as being a great leader, always making sure to get work done safely and accurately and just being a good man to so many.
In his free time, he enjoyed cooking and watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys! His wife Bernadette was his best friend, and she will forever cherish his deep voice, BIG HUGS, and his love for her and their family.
Charles favorite color was maroon, he loved plants which he truly had a green thumb for, along with the sounds of R&B and smooth jazz music. Charles was a very loyal man who loved his family and his friends. He truly had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He was always a protector.
His laugh and his jokes, the love he had for his Cowboys, and the love and dedication to his girls will forever be an impact on the world he created. Always a warm plate and BIG HUG on dad.
This loving, thoughtful, kind, and caring man will be deeply missed. To know Charles was to love him.
