The sun rose on the life of Cecilia Ines Reyes Valdes in Mexico on January 21, 1976, when she was born to Eustolio Guadalupe Reyes Luna and Cecilia Valdes Caballero. The youngest of five children born to this union, Cecilia had two brothers, Sergio, and Cesar, and two sisters, Blanca, and Rosa. As a child, she was always charismatic, playful, and liked to make people smile.

Cecilia met Cesar Zelaya while working on her job and on December 12, 1999, they were united in marriage in Aurora, Colorado.

In her free time, she enjoyed learning paper crafts, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends.

Her favorite color was red, she loved red roses and the sounds of Vicente Fernandez music.

Cecilia never liked being called by her middle name, but she always made friends easily. She was truly the life of the party. She was well loved by her nieces and nephews, and she was always willing to help raise each one of them whether they were related or not. Cecilia had a sense of adventure as she braved the unknown while uprooting her life from her home country to another.

This loving, kind, caring, sweet, jovial, easy going, and beautiful lady will be deeply missed. To know Cecilia was to love her.

The sun set on the life of Cecilia Ines Reyes Valdes on December 8, 2023, in Aurora, Colorado when she passed from this life into her eternal rest.

She is preceded in death by her father.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, mother, siblings, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
