The life began for Sandra LaMarr Brown on September 19, 1947, in Stockton, California when she was born to Samuel LaMarr and Estella Mamie Davis. She was the oldest of nine children born to this union. Sandra had four brothers Victor, Kenneth, Michael, and Alvin and four sisters Lolita, Lucille, Joann, and Kitty. Educated in the public school system, Sandra graduated from East High School in Wichita, Kansas. She continued with her studies by attending Wichita State University and Cosmoetolgy School.
Sandra met Denzell Maurice Brown, Sr. and on Valentine’s Day February 14, 1969, they were united in marriage in Wichita, Kansas. They had a deep love for each other and would always watch out for one another. She was the proud and devoted mother of Katherine, Denzell Jr., and Shalonta. The children remember how their mother loved them unconditionally and desired only the best for them. She always encouraged them to keep God first. She later met Pierre Amos in Denver, Colorado and on August 14, 2009, they were united.
They truly enjoyed spending time with each other. She was blessed with grandchildren Monae, Denzell III, Miss Hannah, Miss Andrea, Parthenia, Miracle, Pharoah, and Nino who called her “Mom-Mia”. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them about life and giving them her advice.

In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family.
Her favorite color was pink, and her favorite music was gospel and R&B.
Sandra’s favorite scripture was Psalm 23, she bravely battled through adversity by making strides and embracing life to the fullest.
