Life’s Journey: Toni Lynnece Johnson On March 21, 1990, in Denver, Colorado Toni Lyneece Johnson entered this world, born to Tony Lee Johnson and Debralene K. Brannon. Toni was the middle child of her parents three children: older sister Deanna Sigars, and younger brother Charles Johnson. Toni attended John Amesse, Knight Academy, and MLK during her younger years. In 2008 she graduated from East High School. Toni departed this life on June 1, 2024. She is survived by not only her parents and her siblings, but by her two children Ahji D. Battle and Ailani D. Doyle in addition to nine nieces and nephews. Growing up she loved fashion and had aspired to be a fashion designer. She could turn a t-shirt into a two-piece set and have you believing it was made that way. She had plans to attend fashion school in New York, but God blessed her and Tumor Battle with a son. Toni worked in a variety of different fields varying from health care, direct tv, and the VA to name a few. She was quick on her toes and had the gift of gab thanks to her dad so whatever task you gave her or whatever job you threw at her she exceled at it. Toni loved her children more than anything in this world. Her son was her first true love and her best friend. They spent a lot of time together which included watching him play sports, taking trips to Starbucks and so much more. She loved keeping her son “dripped” in the freshest shoes and clothes. Her heart grew even bigger when she had Ailani. She loved dressing her up, baking cookies, going for long walks and bringing her along to Ahji’s games. She loved spoiling her babies and when it comes to love these two will always have her heart. As a kid Toni would bike the Montbello streets with her siblings and their friends pretending like they were in the Indie 500’s. Outside of her siblings, growing up she spent a lot of time with her cousin Ayana who was more like a bonus sister then a best friend. While living in Montbello Toni and her siblings loved to use their imagination. One day they took a camcorder and made a music video acting like Juvenile and the No Limit Soldiers “Whoadie!” Toni was full of life and enjoyed it her way. She loved being around her family. To know Toni is to love her. She had a heart of Gold which is rare to find in this troubled world. She not only loved to give to others, but she loved showing up and being the life of the party! She had a laugh that was so contagious, and you could hear it a mile away.
