I met Julian as a freshman in high school. He was reading Ready Player One in our English class and eating apple cinnamon flavored MRIs from his backpack. I sat next to him, and we talked about the book, and he offered me a chunk of his MRI. After that, there wasn't a lunch period where you wouldn't find us drawing goofy pictures or talking about our interests or riffing off each other's jokes. I still vividly remember going to his 16th birthday at a sushi bar, and it was one of the few highlights of high school for me. I miss you greatly Julian. Some of the best parts of my life involved you, and I'll forever be grateful for you. До свидания, my friend.
