Terrence John Griffin, age 76, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in Aurora CO. He was born June 25, 1948, in Oak Park, IL to parents John J. Griffin and Rita T. (Nee Young) Griffin.
He was raised in Hillside, IL, where he attended St. Domitilla School, Mater Dolorosa Seminary, St. Joseph H.S. and Proviso West H.S.
Terry served in the Illinois National Guard during the 1968 Democratic Convention and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. riots in Chicago the same year.
He then worked as an independent contractor for Sears, JCPenney, and various independent drapery manufacturers as a window treatment installer in Chicagoland.
Terry then went on to have over 10 years in wireless communications recruiting at the executive level domestically and internationally from Director to CEO. His primary focus was working with cellular infrastructure vendors who built base stations, switching, network management systems and antennas. He successfully placed technical directors, V.P.s and chief architects in all types of base station engineering and systems design.
Terrence, beloved father of Amanda Marie Griffin and ex-husband of Linda {nee Plahuta}, dear brother of Lawrence {Elizabeth} and Gerald, friend to John Hutchinson {Aurora CO} and loving uncle to three dozen nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Garry, and ex-wife Linda Pearson.
