Barbara LaJane Hall was born on March 26, 1965 in Hempstead Texas at the Waller County Hospital to Joyliner Jackson. She was the first born of three children. Immediately after her birth her family moved to San Francisco, California where she grew up. Barbara was a Girl Scout and loved to shop and spend time with her friends. She enjoyed going on family vacations and playing with her siblings. Her family was led by her grandmother the late Orie Jackson the former matriarch of the family. Education Barbara attended elementary school Sacred Heart and high school at St. Rose while in San Francisco. At the age of 16 she moved back to Texas with her grandmother and finished school at Royal High School in Brookshire Texas. She graduated college from the University of Texas at Arlington and obtained a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Barbara valued education and taught college business courses. Salvation Barbara was saved and baptized while attending a college retreat in Atlanta Georgia. She accepted Jesus as her personal savior and was later baptized again at the Eastland Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Bob Fowler. She just wanted to make sure she left no stone unturned in her salvation experience. Loved life While in Texas she met the love of her life Lee Hall Sr. She asked him first to marry her but he said "let me propose to you". They were married for 25 wonderful year. Barbara loved her family. Their union brought two wonderful children; Lee Jr. and Arisha. She enjoyed being a wife and a mother. It gave here great purpose to enjoy each day with her family. Family was her most prized possession. They always came first. When her son Lee Jr. scored his first TD in pewee football she beat him to the end zone. She and Arisha love to shop together. Barbara served alongside of her husband Lee, as he served in ministry. She was his greatest asset. She understood what it meant to be called to be a Pastor's wife and enjoyed being the First Lady of Grace Christian Center in Montbello where Lee is the Pastor. Memories Barbara gave so much to so many. She touched the lives of many within the community. She never asked how can I help, or do you need anything, she just did. She was always giving. Barb worked for the City of Denver for over 15 years and wanted to see those who did not get their diploma get their GED. On Sunday morning after church the little kids would always be waiting for a sucker or a piece of candy from Mrs. Hall. She always flashed that big smile along with a great personality everywhere she went. Barb was so easy to love and left a great legacy. On Friday November 1, 2013 Barbara went home to be with the Lord. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Lee Sr., her son Lee Jr., her daughter Arisha all of Denver Colorado. Her mother, Joyliner Turner, her brothers, Rodney of San Francisco California, and Marcus Jackson of Victorville California and host of aunts, uncles, in-laws, nephews and nieces.
