Obituary of Charli DeAnn Hendricks

Please share a memory of Charli to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Ms. Charli DeAnn Hendricks on August 10, 1977 when she was born to proud parents, Charlie W. Hendricks and Gloria J. Hendricks Spiller. She was the second child born to this union. Names for her father (the dr. said she was going to be a boy), Charli came into the world with a fighting spirit. The doctors said she would not live past the first two days and then every year, she was not going to make it. "As a family, we celebrated every year as her last." God and Charli proved them wrong. She went on to live for 36 years and touch the hearts of various people in alot of ways. After attending Boettcher Hall education program for the handicap, she went into the Denver Public School System and graduated from Montbello High School in 1996. She continued her education, earning her certification and license in Cosmetology. A woman of faith, she attended Now Faith Christian Center where she dedicated her life to Christ. Though Charli never married, she always wanted to be a mother, so she took over the care of her godchildren, Ty'Keisha, Myron, Myra and cousin, Jeremiah. Charli loved watching football with her father and after his passing, with her grandmother. She was a Dallas Cowboys fan. She loved time with family and friends, Tweety Bird, purple and roses. After 72 surgeries, she knew how to appreciate and enjoy life!! She was deeply loved and will be always missed. The sun set on the earthly life of Ms. Charli DeAnn Hendricks on November 18, 2013 when the Lord called her home to eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles; grandparents, Harold Zackery Sr, L.C. and Eva Carney. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Gloria (Joel D. Sr.) Spiller; brothers, Joel D. Spiller, Jr., Jeremy and Nick Casner; sisters, Antoinette M. Hendricks, Jacqueline Spiller and Danielle Casner; grandmother, Elnora Zackery; aunts, Irene Pullen, Audrey Hughes, Wanda Johnson and Alvezina Zackery; uncles, Roney, Terry and Harold, Jr. and Raymond Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Rest in peace...Charli
