Obituary of Calvin Huguley

The sun rose on the life of Mr. Calvin L.Huguley on June 18, 1953, in Buffalo, Alabama,when he was born to Johnny R. Huguley and Willie Eva Hardy. Calvin had seven siblings,Geneva, Carolyn (his twin), Ruby, Sarah, Rosie,Willie, Mattie, and Ruben. Educated in the public school system, he attended Manual High School in Denver, Colorado.Calvin was united in marriage with La Veta Huguley. He was blessed with six children, Jerena,Tanisha, Temika, Priscilla, Calvin Jr, and William.A "family" man, Calvin was also a stepfather to several more children. In later years, his seventeen grandchildren and five great grandchildren were an additional source of joy and pride in his life. He loved them all dearly.For many years, Calvin was a professional chef. He most recently worked for Waste Management in Denver for the last seven or eight years. He was known for hard work, dependability and friendliness. In his free time, he enjoyed his family and friends, cooking, having fun,driving, dancing and listening to the group, The Temptations. "Calvin was a very smart and loving man who enjoyed working and being around his family." his love, his laughter, his smile and kindness will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have shared a pat of Calvin's life. To know him is truly to have loved him.The sun set on the life of Mr. Calvin L. Huguley on December 26, 2013when he passed from this life into eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Mattie and Ruben;brother-in-law, Pete Rhodes. Those left to cherish his memory include children; Jerena Walker, Tanisha Pollard, Temika Huguley,Priscilla Huguley, Calvin Theus, and William Theus; siblings, Geneva Hardy, Carolyn (twin) Huguley, Ruby Hardy, Sarah (Wendell)Germany, Rosie Rhodes and Willie Huguley; 17grand-children; 5 great grandchildren; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,stepchildren, other relatives and friends.
