The sun rose on the life of Mr. Loyd Allen Marshall on November 21, 1956, in Solgohachia, Arkansas, when he wasborn to Isaac William Marshall and Jessie Vample-Marshall.The eleventh of twelve children, Loyd had six brothers,Parnell, Eurial, Charles, Julius, Carl and Garry and five sisters,Elois, Gennice, Carolyn, Sharon and Gloria. A mischievious child, Loyd was very energetic, but caring and loving.Educated in the public school system, he graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas.Loyd was the loving father of one beautiful daughter,Latricia. She remembers, "I will miss his phone calls, our conversations, his voice, his laugh, his smile, his cry, his words of wisdom, his advice and him telling me how much he loves me and Rae Janne." His grand daughter, Rae Janne was a special source of joy and pride in his life. She remembers, "Papa was the greatest and I love and miss him."A man of faith, Loyd was a member of House of Joy MDC for the past ten years.He was a caregiver and part owner of the Day One Day Care Center in Denver.The children and his co-workers all called him "Mr. Loyd" and loved him dearly.In his free time, Loyd enjoyed family and friends, playing dominoes and cards,traveling, visiting friends and enjoying life. His best friends, Oscar Holliday, RayEriven, Captain and Billy Parker loved him for his laughter, personality and being a "smooth operator". ("He could talk people into anything".) His favorite expressions were "God bless one love" and "Thank you, Jesus". He was a meticulous and sharp dresser with his very own sense of style. He loved his automobiles and would always make them special in his own style. His caring,willingness to help others, and love will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to share a part of Loyd's life. To know him was to love him.The sun set on the life of Mr. Loyd Allen Marshall on January 8, 2014 when the Lord called him home into eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Parnell, Eurial, Charles and Julius. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Latricia Franklin; granddaughter, RaeJanne Baines, both of Kansas City, KS; brothers, Carl D. Marshall of Texarkana,TX and Rev. Garry W. (Delicia) Marshall of Keller, TX; sisters, Elois Hibbert of Kansas City, KS, Gennice Morris of Buckeye, AZ, Carolyn Veasley of Denver, CO,Sharon Dryden ofKansas City, KS andGloria (Jeff) Simpson of Denver, CO; and a host of nieces and nephews, his cousins,other relatives and friends.
