Obituary of Oscar Anthony Webb

Please share a memory of Oscar to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Mr. Oscar Anthony "Bubby" Webb, Jr. when he was born to proud parents, Oscar Webb Sr. and Kathryn Ruth Webb (maiden name Shannon) on May 13, 1957 in Compton, California at the Queen of Angels Hospital. Oscar was affectionately called "Bubby" by his siblings at an early age. An active and curious child, he actually started a fire in their home at an early age playing with matches. Oscar learned to drive a car at the age of 12. He had to rush his mother to the hospital when she became ill and no other adult was around. Oscar loved to go to Toys & Hobbies to purchase Hot Wheel cars in the Crenshaw Shopping Center, which is now known as South Central. Educated in the public school system, Oscar earned his GED. Oscar was very knowledgeable. He taught Karate classes in his teenage years. He mastered the skill of Karate and became a Red Belt which is one of the highest degrees in the Martial Arts. Oscar was a self-starter. He taught himself to play the guitar and was very good at it. He was also very skillful with computers, building them and taking them apart. He had a side business selling refurbished computers he had repaired. He also serviced broken computers for his customers. Oscar displayed many talents. He became interested in cleaning up consumer credit and started another side business to help customers repair their credit history. He even wrote a book about it. Oscar also authored another book which is currently being sold on Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble called "Journey's Within". Oscar was a devoted worker for Avis Budget Car Rental for the past 13 years. He built a great relationship with his managers and co-workers alike. He never wanted anyone to make a fuss about him when he was not feeling well. He would just say "I'm ok...I'm ok!" The sun set on the life of Mr. Oscar Anthony "Bubby" Webb, Jr. on February 11, 2014. He is survived by his daughter, Tushenia (Nikki) Hampton of Denver, CO; son, Jaelun Mitchell of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Mesnieray "Mezzy" Marquell and Marquise Tatten; brothers, Gary H. Webb of Los Angeles, CA and Nathaniel E. Webb, also of Los Angeles, CA; sisters, Lesa R. Webb of Denver, CO and Leondra Ruth (Jerome) Johnson of Aurora, CO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Rest in peace..."Bubby"
