Obituary of Veronica Jackson

Veronica Jackson was born December 20, 1960, in Los Angeles, CA andraised in Compton, CA the seventh child of nine children born to Andrewand Martine Jackson. Family and friends affectionately knew Veronica as Vicky. She loved tocook and bake. She always made the cakes forfamily holiday dinners. She loved listening tomusic and Freddy Jackson was one of her favoriteartist. She accepted Christ as her Savior at anearly age and she fellowship with Joy TabernacleHoliness Church in Aurora, CO.Vicky was raised in Compton, CA where sheattended Roosevelt Middle School and ComptonHigh School. As a young girl, Vicky enjoyedparticipating in drill team and the Girl Scoutsmovement. She did various jobs working at acleaners and childcare as she loved children andoften was the baby sitter to all of her nieces andnephews. In 1983, the first of four daughters, LaVena,was born. Later Veronica moved to Long Beach, California, were she wasa stay at home mom of four daughters. Then she moved to Denver,Colorado for several years where she later rest.God looked upon his earthly daughter and dispatched His angels andtrumpets to bring home to a place where there is no more heartache,sorrow, and no more pain.Ms. Veronica "Vicky" Jackson passed from this life into eternal rest onMarch 14, 2014. Her parents, sisters: Gloria Jernigan and BarbaraMayberry and daughter, LaVena Ann Gibson preceded her in home going.Veronica leaves to remember her with love her three daughters, ShanaeJackson, Veronica Cleveland, and Zakiya Brockington; ; two grandchildrenLaDeana Torres and TeshaylaThomas;; sisters, Joyce Frierson,Annette Jackson, Patricia Jacksonand LaTanya Jackson; brothers,Andre and Lavell Jackson; onebrother-in- law, George Jerniganand a host of nieces, nephews,cousins, and friends.
