Obituary of Victoria Bozeman
Please share a memory of Victoria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Mrs. Quinnie Victoria Bozeman on December 1, 1927 in Red Oak, Georgia when she was born to Rosie May. The oldest of sixteen children, she was known for always standing her ground. Victoria was married to Emmanuel Bozeman whom she met at a dance. She was the loving mother of seven beautiful children, Margrine, Berry, Clara, Larry, Angeline, Willie and Quinnie May. She was also blessed with grandchildren, Mazona, Natongo, Demingo, Nathan, Damin, Jasmine, Decoven, Jermar, Victoria, Arcenio, Samantha and Bree and twenty-four great grandchildren. They lovingly called her "Granny" and remember firecracker wars on her front porch on the 4th of July. "She always had honey buns for the kids and was good at saving them from whoopings." Victoria was an excellent seamstress, but she devoted most of her life to taking care of her family and home. She enjoyed collecting antiques, shopping, dining out and of course, time with family and friends. Her best friend was Ruby Parrish. All of her friends will always remember her for her biscuits, desserts and "open door policy". Her favorite color was purple she loved roses and most enjoyed Bobby Blue Band and B.B. King. This loving, caring, wise, spirited and energetic lady was always on the go. "Just when you were at the end of your rope, her words of wisdom would start you climbing again." She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. The sun set on the life of Mrs. Quinnie Victoria Bozeman on May 5, 2014 when she passed into eternal rest. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Willie (Cameishi) Bozeman of Chicago, IL, Larry Bozeman of Denver, CO and Berry Bozeman of Aurora, CO; daughters, Angeline Franklin-Bozeman of Denver, CO and Clara Wallace of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Rufus Westmoreland of Atlanta, GA; sister, Ruby Westmoreland of Atlanta, GA; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grand-children; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
