Albert Johnson was born October 1, 1935 to the late Donald Ray Johnson and Lucille Ray Johnson in Cincinnati, Ohio. He departed this life on Sunday, May 11, 2014. He was the second oldest of eleven children born to this union. Albert was married to Ann Johnson for 55 years. To this union were born four children, Ronald, Anthony, Debra and Allisa. He also had an older daughter, Angela. Albert also had two god- daughters, Ruthie Davis and Kelley Stevenson and a god-son, Kevin Mays. Albert was a very intelligent young man, he decided to join the Air Force in 1952 and he retired in 1973 after serving 20 years in the "Intelligence Ward" as an Academic Instructor. During his time in the military, Albert earned his Bachelor Degree from Columbia College. He later worked for Mitsubishi Air Craft in San Angelo, Texas and Stern Rogers in Denver, Colorado where he was the head of the Administration Department. Albert enjoyed fashion. He was always dressed from head to toe. If you knew him, you always saw him with his Stacy Adams on and with the coolest walk ever. He also loved beautiful cars. He always kept a Chrysler Crown Coupe or Chrysler Imperial. Albert also enjoyed playing poker with his military buddies. One of a kind, he was known as "Big Al" or "Mr. J." Albert was full of love and positive advice. He read his bible daily and enjoyed prayers and sharing scriptures with others. If Bobby Jones was on the radio, he was delighted as he loved any gospel station. Albert's best friend was Henry "Hank" Davis. His prayer partners were Antonio Buchette and Art Romero to name a few.
