Obituary of Valarie Wing

The sun rose on the life of Ms. Valarie Yvonne Wing on July 27, 1961 in Newton, Kansas when she was born to Frances Banks. The oldest of four children, Valarie had two brothers, Gregory and Shariff and one sister,Briggette. A lively and curious child, she was always asking questions. She spent alot of her time riding her bike. Educated in the public school system, Valarie continued her education and earned her CNA at Denver Vocational School in Denver, Colorado.Valarie was the loving and devoted mother of three children, Darnell, Abdula and Erika. Additionally she was blessed with loving grandchildren, Amir, Chloe,Rosetta, Evelyn, Elexis, Lil Abdula, Sirius and Serene. They called her"Grandma Nalaria" and loved her dearly.While Valarie did not claim membership to any one church, she attended services at many different Denver area churches. "She loved gospel music."By profession a CNA, she was employed with St. Paul Hospital in the position of Certified Nursing Assistant. She had also worked at several private care facilities. She was known for hard work, dedication to her patients and being enjoyable to work with.In her free time, Valarie enjoyed family, friends, playing games on the computer, and shopping. She had many friends, but her best friend was Margaret. Valarie's favorite colors were green, blue and orange and she loved roses. A warm, caring and loving woman, she never lost hope that she could beat her medical problems. When you called her, she would always answer the phone with "What's up?" Her infectious laughter, beautiful smile and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have shared a part of this lovely lady's life. To know Valarie was to love her.The sun set on the life of Ms. Valarie Yvonne Wing on May 15, 2014 when she passed into eternal rest. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Darnell (Erika) Jackson and Abdula (Vanessa) Jackson, both of Aurora, CO; daughters,Erika (Alexander) Amin of Aurora, CO; mother, Frances Banks of Aurora, CO; brothers,Gregory (Shelly) Jackson of Aurora,CO and Shariff (Amila) Abdula ofDenver, CO; sister, Briggette Jackson of Aurora, CO; nine grandchildren;devoted companion, Marty Jacobson;and a host of nieces, nephews,cousins, other relatives and friends.
