Obituary of Oscar Fabien Mendoza
Please share a memory of Oscar to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Mr. Oscar Fabien Mendoza, Jr. on November 30, 1977 in Artesia, California when he was born to Oscar F. Mendoza, Sr. and Mary H. Martinez. The seventh of eight children born to this union, Oscar grew up with five brothers, Albert, Anthony, Nick, Elias and Alex and four sisters, Michelle, Anna, Celestina and Mary. A happy child, he was always outgoing, funny and energetic. His sister remembers, "He tried to fly like Superman. He was very protective of us, always brought so much joy to our lives and so respectful." Oscar received his formal education in the public school system. He attended middle school in Florence, Arizona and graduated from West High School in Coolidge, Arizona. Oscar's profession was detailing cars. "He loved this very much." In his free time, he enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, fishing, listening to music, basketball and, of course, detailing cars. His best friends were Clifton, Anthony, Joe Joe, L.Q., Uncle Don, Mike and many others. They will best remember him sharing time with them in both Colorado and Coolidge. His favorite colors were black and gray and his favorite song was "All Eyes On Me" by Tupac. Oscar was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. The sun set on the life of Mr. Oscar Fabien Mendoza, Jr. on June 10, 2014 when he passed into eternal rest. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Mary Martinez of Aurora, CO; brothers, Albert, Anthony, Nick, Elias and Alex; sisters, Michelle, Anna, Celestina and Mary; nieces, Maricela, Eljana, Jennifer, Stephanie and Candice; nephew, Eric; god daughter, Nyerie Taylor; five step-sisters; step-brothers, Donyal and Tali; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
