Obituary of Fay Coleman Kyser
Please share a memory of Fay to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Fay Coleman Kyser was born on September 17, 1924 to the union of Jim Kyser and Bessie Mason Kyser. He grew up in the small town of Reagan, Texas and was the fifth child of eight siblings. Fay departed Reagan in pursuit of Lubbock, Texas when he was 17 years old. He accepted Christ in his life while attending St. Luke Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Fay later traveled to Colorado in the early 40's where he married Mary Jane Scott in 1951 and two children were born to this union, Myron and Lisa Kyser. He worked for the City and County of Denver for 30 years and filled his free time relishing the company of family and friends.
It's been said that Fay never met a stranger because everyone he encountered became an instant friend. He loved spending time with his family and possessed a knack for making people laugh and smile. His wit and charm were undeniable. He was a person that made others happy. Fay's youngest sister recounts the time their father said, "If you didn't have a penny in your pocket, when you finished talking to him (Fay), you felt like a million dollars".
Fay will be remembered as a kind and generous person. He was also sharp as a tack and neatly put together; the man knew how to dress! He will truly be missed and will live in the hearts of those who knew him forever.
Fay leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Myron Kyser (Beatrice) and Lisa Kyser; his granddaughter Kelie Kyser Cook (Eriq); and his siblings: Charles Kyser (Jura), Mary Woodard (Charles), Barbara Gooch (Myron) and Billie Richmond (Alvin). He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Fay was preceded in death by both of his parents and siblings: Daniel Kyser (Zenobia), John Kyser (Mozelle), Eddie Mae Kyser and Christine Roberts (Roscoe). May he rest in peace.
