Obituary of Anita Kay Alexander

Please share a memory of Anita to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Ms. Anita Kay Alexander "Nita K" on March 1, 1958 in Denver, CO when she was born to Charles Alexander and Juanita Hill. The youngest of seven children, Anita had four brothers, Booker, Connor William, Justin and Jesse and two sisters, Lillie and Eloise. As a child, she was always very playful, energetic and mischievous. She enjoyed modeling and posing for pictures. She was also very active in sports and loved running. Educated in the public school system, she graduated from South High School in Denver. Anita was the loving and devoted mother of three beautiful daughters, Joy, Tiffany and Raven. They fondly remember her loud laugh, big smile, caring and hyper personality. "She was a silly, fun, free spirit, unfiltered, inquisitive and trendy." When she was blessed with grandchildren, Joy and Jon-Renee', they were additional joy and pride in her life. They remember "Anita K" taking them to the movies, spending time with them and riding around on her "joy rides". At an early age, Nita K became a member of Union Baptist Church. She was employed at Denver International Airport in the position of team leader. Prior to having her children, she worked at Stapleton Airport. After the girls were born, she devoted her time to caring for her home and family. She enjoyed time with family and friends, watching sports, soap operas, shopping and going to the movies. Her favorite foods were shrimp, seafood, peach cobbler, oxtail soup and soul food. Her best friends, Kathy and Annette loved her energetic personality and sense of humor. This strong, encouraging, loyal lady lived life according to her rules, always spoke her mind and wasn't afraid to ask for things. Her love and joy in life will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved "Nita K". The sun set on the life of Ms. Anita K. "Nita K" Alexander on August 7, 2014 when the Lord called her home to eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Justin, Jesse and Connor William. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Joy Alexander, Tiffany Eaton and Raven Alexander; grandchildren, Joy Hamilton-Berry and Jon-Renee' Berry; mother, Juanita Hill and father, Charles Alexander; brother, Booker T. Hill; sisters, Lillie Smith and Eloise McClinton, all of Denver, CO; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. We "don't say goodbye, we say, see you later."
