Obituary of Terry Lee Hall

Please share a memory of Terry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Mr. Terry Lee Hall, Sr. on February 27, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois when he was born to Faye Dora Hall. The oldest son, Terry had two brothers, Derrick and Rinaldo and five sisters, Gail, Sharon, Arnetta, Jeanetta and Deborah. A happy child, Terry was always joking around. "He wanted to be a cowboy. He loved to swim and hangout with his friends. In his late teens, he wanted to be a singer. He and his friend practiced singing to the Dramatics and Delfonics. He even had the right crossover, kick back slide down pat." Educated in the Denver Public School System, Terry continued his education in the Job Corps. At the early ages of 12 & 13, Terry and Jeane Dolby (his school sweetheart) were united in marriage. The couple shared "lots of ups and downs" but both vowed to be forever husband and wife. To this union were born three children, Taray, Sharnetta and Terry Jr. In addition, three other children, Terry, Tawanda and Ronetta were added to Terry's family. The children remember many trips to New York. The additional children remember "We all love that Dad and Mama Dolby always made sure we were together as a family." In later years, Terry's seventeen grandchildren loved spending time with "Grandpa Terry" and his great grandchildren loved their "PanPa". Terry worked at the Denham Building in Denver in the Maintenance Department. He was known for hard work and dependability. In his leisure time, Terry enjoyed family, friends, singing and dancing. His best friends, Curtis Bunton, Jamaica, Pat and Sandra loved Terry's kind heart, lame jokes and hearing his mother say, "Terry just be quiet." We think of Terry as a "city slicker" who was suave, funny and persistent. His favorite word was cruiser and favorite saying, "Where's the goodies?" While he loved the music of the Delfonics and the Dramatics. After his injury in 2004, he also loved Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis. Although Terry was the one in need of the most care in his final days, he cared more that everyone else was okay. His love, sense of humor and concern for his family will be deeply missed. To know Terry was to love him. We will always hear his voice saying, "Where's Bookee?" The sun set on the life of Mr. Terry Lee Hall, Sr. on August 10, 2014 when he passed into eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tawanda F. Pratt and sisters, Gail Clayborn and Deborah Clayborn. Those left to cherish his memory include he loving wife, Jeane Hall of Denver, CO; sons, Taray Hall, Terry (Duan) Hall, Jr., both of Denver, CO and Terry "Razzle" Pratt of Aurora, CO; daughters, Sharnetta Hall and Ronetta Mosley; brothers, Derrick Hawkins and Rinaldo Clayborn; sisters, Sharon (Charles) Brown, Arnetta Clayborn and Jeanetta Clayborn, all of Denver, CO; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
