The sun rose on the life of Ms. Gwendolyn Marie Ford on April 25, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri when she was born to Arlene and John Bozeman, Sr. The youngest of three children, Gwendolyn had one brother, John Jr. and one sister, Earline. She was always "Daddy's baby girl". She enjoyed roller skating (and was very good) and playing the piano. Educated in the public school system, she graduated from Sumner High School in St. Louis, Class of '64, where she was an active member of the Glee Club. In 1968, Gwendolyn was united in marriage with her high school sweetheart, Ronald Ford. To this union were born two precious children, Bridgett and Brad. In 1982, she was united in marriage with Joseph Cloyd in Denver, Colorardo. No children were born to this union and it was later dissolved. She was a loving and devoted mother. Her children remember, "Even though she didn't like dogs, she allowed us to have several dogs. As she grew older, she would go over and above to please and do well for her children and family."A woman of faith, Gwendolyn was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Denver for over twenty years. She was employed with the United States Postal Service in the position of Operations Safety Coordinator. She had previously worked with US West/Mountain Bell. She was known as a hard worker who was a pleasure to work with. In her free time, Gwendolyn enjoyed family, friends, travel and shopping. Her best friends, Brenda Jackson and Marilynn Green loved her very welcoming friendly smile and her beautiful style. Her favorite music was soulful R&B, Blues and Gospel. This lovely lady's love, caring and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her .The sun set on the life of Ms. Gwendolyn Marie Ford on October 15, 2014 when the Lord called her home to eternal rest.
