Ms. Anderson aka Auntie Cheryl was an amazing woman. I remember being a little girl and admiring her beauty at uncle Larry's church. Dani and I grew so close and Cheryl did an awesome job raising 3 beautiful, intelligent, strong, hard working, and God fearing women. It didn't matter who you were if you were close to her girls you was her baby too. Her meek and loving spirit will definitely be missed.

I consider Cheryl like family to me even though we were not blood. I've known her my whole life basically and I know that she was a very important person to my family. I call Sara my cousin so Cheryl was like an Aunt to me. She will be greatly missed and loved but God loved her best.

I came to know Cheryl through one of her acquaintance in the early 90's. I found her to be warm, kind and humble. She and family came to visit us several times on the Gulf Coast. Those times I will always remember and hold true to my heart. My fondest memories are of her getting hooked on that southern fried chicken from Lela's Cafe. She really loved the food and the hospitality here. She spent several days with us and we enjoyed getting to know her and her family. I also remember having to drive for Cheryl to visit another friend, who lived a few hours away, because she was afraid to drive across a very long bridge. She told me she was terrified of heights and driving across water. Her very words were, "Jo, I can't drive across that bridge." :-) Cheryl and I talked numerous of times on the phone about how she enjoyed her visit to the Gulf Coast.
Also, Cheryl and family came to my father's funeral in 1997. We didn't expect her to make it, but we were appreciative of her and family driving hundreds of miles to attend the funeral. I recall her saying, "Jo, I can't miss your daddy's funeral." She was determined to be there. She was very fond of my father and often laughed at his family stories and jokes. To drive that far for one day demonstrated the wonderful person she was, and the concern she had for the family. She is gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. We love and miss you Cheryl.
