The sun rose on the life of Mr. Dwayne Milligan on February 17, 1955 in Denver, Colorado when he was born to Walter T. Milligan and Rutha Mae Jefferson. The youngest of five children, Dwayne had one brother, Wayman and three sisters, Brenda, Marva and Linda. Educated in the public school system, he graduated from Manual High School, Class of 1973. On November 1, 1977, Dwayne was united in marriage with Stormi Lawson. "He liked to cook, dance and have fun with family and friends, who he had a lot of." To this union was born one handsome son, Devin. Devin remembers, "He was a nice man and we had a lot of fun together and spent as much time together as possible. He helped me buy my first car." Dwayne was an auto mechanic and landscaper. He enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, cooking, listening to music and just having a good time. He liked rap, old school and slow jams. His favorite color was blue. Dwayne was known for being kind hearted, generous and was always remembered for his beautiful smile. His love and enjoyment in life will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have shared a part of Dwayne's life. To know him was to love him. The sun set on the life of Mr. Dwayne Milligan on November 10, 2014 when he passed into eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his father and sisters, Marva and Linda. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Rutha Mae Johnson of Denver, CO; son, Devin Milligan of Denver, CO; brother, Wayman Rucker of San Bernardino, CA; sister, Brenda (Lester) Gregory of Atlanta, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
