Obituary of Angela Michelle Hill

Please share a memory of Angela to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Angela Michelle Hill, born September 2, 1968, was the only child of Michigan and Laura Hill. She was born at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana while her parents were in the Air Force. The family relocated to Denver, Colorado when she was two years old. She remained a Colorado resident thereafter. As a child, Angela was always following her daddy around. She and her grandmother were "best buds". Educated in the public school system, she graduated from Gateway High School in 1986. While in junior high, she was sometimes the victim of bullying so her father soon taught her to use a "left hook". Angela proudly served her country in the United States Army for three and a half years beginning in 1989. She completed her active duty with honor and distinction and received an Honorable Discharge from the Army and a grateful nation. She was the devoted and loving mother of three children: Jerome Tyrell, De'Airon Chanel and Trai Lynne. The children remember, "Our mother taught us to speak the truth. She had the "only child syndrome" a lot. We grew up watching and loving her favorite television show, The Price Is Right."In later years, her grandchildren, Se'Airra, Jayden, Ja'Bahri, and Ja'Rell were an added source of joy and pride in her life. They lovingly called her "GiGi". She was always babysitting and taking them everywhere together. She loved the outings with her grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world and they loved her as much as she loved them.. A woman of faith, she accepted Christ as her Savior in 2001 and was a faithful member of Hope Deliverance Church of God in Christ for many years. In 2007 she was ordained as a minister by Colorado Christian Fellowship. Angela held a variety of positions during her career but really excelled as a leasing agent. She fulfilled a lifelong dream when she received her college degree in July 2014 from College America. Angela lived fully and never did anything halfway. She was dedicated to helping others and had a heart of gold, but she could be blunt and spoke the truth. Her famous saying was "If you don't want the truth, don't ask me a question." She had a special love for family and really enjoyed the Powell (her mother's family) and the Hill-Scott family reunions. In her free time, Angela enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, doing arts and crafts, writing and church. Her best friend was Danielle Hodge. All of her friends appreciated her for her giving heart and her honesty. Two of her favorite expressions were, "Don't mess with the Pigg" and "Love you back." Her favorite color was purple and she most enjoyed gospel, R & B and Old School music. She was a devoted daughter who cherished her parents and family. She always had a listening ear for whoever needed it and a smile that would light up an entire room. To know Angela was to love her and she will be greatly missed. The sun set on the life of Ms. Angela Michelle Hill on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 when the Lord called her home to eternal rest after a shocking and unexpected illness.
