Obituary of Linda Joyce Davis

The sun rose on the life of Ms. Linda Joyce Davis on August 6, 1952 in Birmingham, Alabama when she was born to Mrs. Aileen Davis-Jackson and James Jones. Linda had three brothers, Joseph, Phillip and Ronald and three sisters, Sandra, Jennifer and Barbara. Linda received her education in the Birmingham, AL school system. She confessed Christ at an early age at Metropolitan C.M.E. Church in Ensley, Alabama. Linda moved to Boston, Massachusetts where she graduated from Roxbury Bible College. She spent many years as a missionary in the Virgin Islands where she last resided. Her hobbies included movies, a collection of Bibles and a love of traveling and sightseeing. In her younger years, she loved to eat and she loved sweets. Always an avid reader, her love of reading continued into her adult years. A very giving woman to her family, Linda had a quiet strength who would always have a listening ear for anyone who needed it. To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed. The sun set on the life of Ms. Linda Joyce Davis on December 15, 2014 when the Lord called her home to eternal rest. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Aileen Jackson of Aurora, CO; three brothers, Joseph (Iris) Davis of Murrieta, CA, Phillip Davis of Boston, MA and Ronald Jackson of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Sandra Davis of Aurora, CO, Jennifer (Phillip) Person of Aurora, CO and Barbara Davis of Randolph, MA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
