Obituary of Effie Lois Allen

Please share a memory of Effie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Ms. Effie Lois Allen on May 29, 1952 in Pocatella, Idaho when she was born to Edward James Allen and Creasie Williams. One of four children, Effie had one brother, James and two sisters, Evelyn and Blonzella. A happy child, she was always laughing even as an adult. Because of her great sense of humor, she made others laugh as well. Effie received her formal education in the Denver Public School System and graduated from East High School in Denver, Colorado. A woman of faith, Effie was baptized into the Jehovah Witness faith in October, 1976. By profession a nanny, Effie raised several children who truly loved her. She was dedicated, dependable and always took great care of her charges. In her free time, Effie enjoyed family, friends, playing games, bid whiz and gin rummy. She loved music and loved to sing. Her best friends were her sisters. "We will really miss our baby sister and best friend. So we look forward to seeing her again in a peaceful earth, just like the Word says in Psalms 34:11-29." The sun set on the life of Ms. Effie Lois Allen on December 27, 2015 when she passed into eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother. Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Evelyn Martinez and Blonzella Dever, both of Denver, Colorado; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
