He loved all sports, especially football and wrestling. Educated in the public school system, he graduated from East High School in Denver. He continued his education, studying at Imperial Valley College in California. James was united in marriage with Renya Duran. To this union was born one child, Brittni Sheree. The marriage was later dissolved. James was a loving father. In later years, his grandchildren, Monica, Marquis and Avian added much joy and pride in his life. By profession, he was a driver for RTD in Denver for over thirteen years. Additionally, he was an entrepreneur and businessman. He had a company called "Phats House" and also had a small clothing line called "Rocky Moutain Tuff ". He was known for being a loving friend to all. In his free time, he enjoyed family (especially grandchildren), friends, fishing and camping. He had many friends, all of whom enjoyed his conversation and the fact that he had an answer for everything. His favorite colors were blue and black and he most enjoyed jazz, gopel music and R&B.
