I knew Larry through Golden Gloves and trained with him. He was a friend and accepted me for who I was, without regard to the color of my skin. I learned a lot from him. Not just boxing, but more importantly I learned how to respect someone without bias. A great guy and I'm proud to have known him. Small world: I met his former sister-in-law, 'Bammy', when I was in my 60s. Sorry I'm so late in paying my respects.
