Obituary of Joyce Wade Wilkins

The sun rose on the life of Ms. Joyce Wade Wilkins on September 13, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri when she was born to Joe and Rose Wilkins. The youngest of two children, she had one sister, Helen. The family moved to Denver, Colorado when Joyce was in her teens. As a child she was very close to her mother, Rose Wilkins and sister, Helen Harvey. She loved reading and always tried to learn new things. Her dream was to work in the medical field which she accomplished. Her belief was that you can overcome any obstacles to accomplish your dreams. She received her early education in Saint Louis. Missouri and later moved to Colorado. She attended Manual High School in Denver Colorado. Joyce was the loving and devoted mother of two children, Parrish Wilkins and Helen Onyeali. In later years, her grand-children, Dr. Rose Onyeali, Liberty Onyeali, Nduka Onyeali Jr., Mazi-Mathias Onyeali were added to the family. Joyce was employed in several different positions in the Health Care field; Home Health Care Provider, Pharmacy Technician and Operating Room Technician. She later retired from Rose Medical Center after over twenty years of service. She had a love and passion for the medical profession and was known and loved for her dedication to her patients and her job. Her compassionate attitude will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know this lovely lady. Truly, to know Joyce was to love her. The sun set on the life of Ms. Joyce Wade Wilkins on March 8, 2016 when she passed into eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister and nephew, Roger Harvey. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Parrish Wilkins and Helen (Nduka Sr.) Onyeali, four grand-children; nieces and nephews, Ronald Harvey, Rodney Harvey, Barbara Barnes and Edith Harvey-Williams; many great neices and great nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. "God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Then he who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new". Revelation 21:4-5 NKJV
